Mission Statement

The purpose of the Stoneville Bike and Outdoor Club is to promote the sport of bicycling and other outdoor activities as a means of recreation, improving personal health, and transportation for the citizens of Rockingham County, the state of North Carolina and beyond.

Join Us for the 2nd Annual Beast
at Belews Lake Kayak Race.
April 19, 2014

The Beast at Belews Lake is a 10 mile out and back open water kayak race. The event starts and finishes at Carolina Marina on Belews Lake. The challenging distance will test your strength, endurance and will power. New in 2014, we will offer multiple new male/female kayak and canoe race divisions. Click here to see more details in the Kayak Race section.

The Stoneville Bike and Outdoor Club will lead a Saturday road bike ride for A and B level riders between the months of March - October. Rides will take place unless the club leaders are participating in other bike/outdoor events ( races, paid group or charity rides, or out of town club rides). There will also be some group rides on Sundays as well.

Between the months of November - February we typically do Sunday mountain bike rides on some of the area paved and/or gravel roads and four wheeler trails. Be sure to check our club calendar for ride information.

As participation in the club grows, we hope to add a C level group ride.

The club also schedules out of town club rides (road bike and mountain bike) to various locations in NC, VA, WV and TN. Information on all activities can be found on the club calendar and announcements pages. Please contact us with questions you may have about participation in any club activity.
